The 2009 Long Distance Program was very productive. Keahiakahoe has experienced continued growth in both the Women’s and Men’s programs. Coach Kamu Lau will be in charge of the Open Mens' and Coachs Gilbert Silva and Sam Keli'iho'omalu with the Master Mens' program. The practice site for these programs are located in Kahalu’u and at Sand Island, respectively. The coaching staff for each of these programs should be commended for their faith and dedication towards the enhancement of the Keahiakahoe Long Distance programs. Expectations were high for a successful 2010 season and we encourage any interested individuals to contact the appropriate coaches for more details. As with any successful program the support team of family members and friends is greatly appreciated for your efforts to meet the teams at the finish line with leis, warm hugs and delicious food.
