The 4th annual pre-season Kahiau Canoe Race was a HUGH success with a record 65 crews participating. We surpassed our goal is to have at least 50 crews. Now we have to bump that goal up to 75 for 2010. Hui Lanakila smashed the competition with a win in the Long Course for their Open Men and a win in the Short Course for their Open Mix Crew. A big congratulations to all crews that won and to those that participated. To those that won the coveted first place prizes of 1lb of Kalua Pig, enjoy it.

We also like to send out a BIG mahalo to those that helped us to make this race a success. The kitchen crew, registrars, set-up & break down crews, "we couldn't have done it without you." Thanks again!
